Ten reasons why I love Kristina P. from Pulsipher Predilections
I have met Kristina P., the brain/humor/Snuggie-aficionado/wit behing Pulsipher Predilections three times. The first was when we busted out a few Christmas carols with Jyl Pattee (Mom It Forward) and Kristin Mayes (Simple Whimsy Designs) and our families at a local rest home in 2008. The second time was at The Melting Pot for a woman-empowering (and fondue-enjoying) luncheon in early 2009. The third time was last night…and now I may start some real-life stalking, not just blog stalking.
If you haven’t yet discovered Pulsipher Predilections then you’re missing out on some snort-enabling posts and Photoshop mastery. You’ve also missed the Snuggie movement–I think Kristina has singlehandedly increased Snuggie’s sales tenfold. I can’t do her site justice in a post. You must experience it for yourself. You can thank me later.
Last night Kristina joined the SassyScoops group for one of our review nights (more on SassyScoops soon) as a guest Sassy. She fit right in. In fact, I’m thinking we need to make her a permanent alternate for the group. Over the course of a solid three hours I came to know Kristina a little better, though I can tell there is still so much more to learn. Perhaps another time.
After last night’s outing I discovered ten reasons (other than her snarky blog) why I love this girl. This is by no means a comprehensive list. I’m sure I’ll have a couple more to add after hearing her speak at the Casual Blogger Conference in May. (My friends Quinn and Vanessa are speaking too!) But here’s what I have so far (in no particular order).
- Kristina is just as funny in real life as she is online. {she is genuine}
- She is serious about her Snuggie. She even keeps one in her car so she’s ready for any emergency…or photo opp. {she is dedicated}
- She doesn’t take life too seriously. {she has a great sense of humor}
- Kristina doesn’t take blogging too seriously. Heck, she hardly knows any of her blog’s stats, and words like “Technorati” and “Google page rank” escape her. {this is one of the things I love most about her: blogging for the love of blogging…not for traffic}
- Kristina is not on Twitter and doesn’t Whrrl. {she may be on to something and I like it!}
- She has an elliptical machine and is not afraid to use it…and could care less if she does. {how can you not love that?!?!}
- Her favorite San Gelato Cafe sandwiches were also my favorites. {that makes us BFFs for life…or for lunch, whichever comes first}
- The woman has great taste in shoes. {I wanted to steal her shoes right off her feet last night}
- She is not afraid to have her gourmet cookie and eat it too (or three or four). {now that’s my kind of girl}
- Kristina survived a night out with the Sassies. In fact, she fit right in. {we may have scarred her for life but she didn’t show it; what a woman!}
Thank you, Kristina P., for joining us last night and giving us a taste of Pulsipher Predilections in action. I’m up for a second helping. Anyone else care to join me?

I think you also missed the conversation where I taught Evonne and Stephanie how to use lightbulbs as meth pipes. I am very knowledgeable.
Thank you so much for this, Emily! This almost made me cry! You are all delightful and I had so much fun last night. I would love to come with you again!!!

Okay, I totally missed that convo. Where was I? Probably with my face deep in my bowl of gelato. Dang! I could really use that information, especially on Mondays.
