Jill Can Blog: “Take-out, timeouts and Team Umizoomi”
My good friend Jill over at Jill Can Blog is running a week of guest posts all on the subject of motherhood. I was lucky enough (and flattered) to be asked to guest post on her site, and she was nice enough to think my post good enough for Blogger’s “Publish” button. It’s most likely the least sentimental of the week but enjoyable nonetheless. Here’s an excerpt to entice you to read more:
So what do you do when life’s throwing you lemons and you haven’t the time—or the juicer—to make lemonade? If you’re me you learn to call in reinforcements: take-out, timeouts (for Mom) and Team Umizoomi.
Did I just hear one of you gasp when you saw “take-out” or recognized Team Umizoomi as something you can only see on Nick Jr.? Hey, I just tell it like it is around here. And you know what? I’ve stopped feeling guilty about not cooking every meal from scratch (macaroni and cheese packs some serious protein if you add turkey hot dogs); escaping at night for some quality alone time at Walmart; or letting my children watch a couple few hours of TV a day.
You can read “Take-out, timeouts and Team Umizoomi” in all its glory on Jill’s blog today. And Nathan, if you’re reading this, take special note of the very last part where I share my favorite Mother’s Day gift…

I love her blog! Although I think I am the only one she DOSEN’T have on her blog roll. I might just pay her for advertising so I can get over my hang up ;) You are such a fabulous writer.
