I love highlighting really nifty bloggers and so I thought I’d combine the two for what I affectionately (and appropriately and alliteratively) call Mad Libs Monday. Today’s “Mom’s Meat Loaf” post comes to us courtesy of Evonne from Sell…Party of 4 and is again from the Dysfunctional Family Therapy (Adult Mad Libs) book. Where you grew up: West Jordan, Utah
Favorite childhood game: Hopscotch
Super cool mom moment (i.e., one of those moments when you were the coolest mom ever): My biggest super cool mom moment was definitely Disneyland. I cried when she got to meet her favorite characters; it really is the happiest place on earth.
Totally uncool mom moment (if you’re willing to share): Since we, as in my husband and I (you didn’t think I wouldn’t drag him down with me, now did you!?) became parents of two this will hopefully be understandable…or not. Our first outing as the four of us, I went out of the HUGE store to feed the new baby. Paul thought that Van had followed me out. She hadn’t. So as I watch Paul walk up to the car I say, “Where’s Van?” And his reply…you guessed it, “I thought she was with you!!” Um yeah, we left our five-year-old in the store! We are still unsure if we can be trusted with two!
Your go-to “drug” of choice (e.g., Diet Coke, chocolate, Peeps, Venti anything from Starbucks): Eating out…anywhere! I love Coke, oh how I love it!
Your guilty indulgence (e.g., reality TV shows, pedis, chick lit): Going to the MOVIES. It is a ritual at our house to go every weekend. I have had to miss with the new baby, but I’ll be back there with you, Van and Paul!
If you were stranded on a desert island, preferably in the Caribbean, who would you want with you and why? I know it’s lame to say my family, but I really do mean it. They are my cheerleaders, my entertainment, my true loves!
