I have not met Nie Nie (Stephanie Nielson) in person but I feel like I know her well. A fellow Mormon, her faith strengthens my own while her beliefs about motherhood never fail to inspire and uplift. If you’re not familiar with her story, take some time to read about it as related by Jaimee Rose in the Arizona Republic. (You’ll want a full box of Kleenex, trust me.)
Here is her beautiful new YouTube video featured on the MormonMessages channel. You’ll also want some Kleenex for this one. Thank you, Nie Nie, for a much needed perspective change when it comes to Mother’s Day.

I am a wife and mother of four who enjoys sunset walks through Anthropologie, candlelight dinners with girlfriends and any movie that will keep my kids entranced for hours on end. I love writing, reading, shopping, cooking, eating, exercising and an ice-cold Diet Coke when necessary. Oh, I almost forgot...I love motherhood too. (By the way, caffeine helps with that last one.)

You have no reason to think I am crying. None at all… and I have already watched this like 10 times… 11… still crying. I am a big ol’ baby. And it also makes me feel like a punk for whining about my dumb fridge.

And BTW… I love her so much I got that “All is Well” necklace she shows at the end. Just as a reminder…

Love the video. I live in gilbert, Az. Native to Mesa. Your story touched my heart and I have been following since the beginning. So happy to see you living and loving and sharing your spirit with the world. You are an amazing example to all, of a Mother, Sister, Daughter, Wife, Friend. Thanks for letting us have a view of your trial and how you cope with your faith. Makes me believe I can endure my trials, even though they pale to yours.
All my Love,
Rochelle
