Walk for West Bengal: 5K “Fun”draiser (support my sis or else!)
I’m not kidding. Mark your calendars now for the morning of Saturday, July 17th. If you don’t, I’ll be stocking up on toilet paper from Costco and hitting your house just before the next freakish Utah midsummer snowfall.
My sister, the same one who held a fundraising horse-grooming clinic last month, is organizing a 5K Fun Run & 1-mile Walk/Kids Run benefiting children and schools in West Bengal, India. She rocks and the cause she is supporting rocks. You can read more about her upcoming November trip to India with her YMAD group here.
Seriously. Support the cause, or at least support me supporting her supporting the cause. Or something like that. I’m registering the family, running the 5K with Meggie and letting Nathan “enjoy” the 1-mile Kids Run. I’m nice like that. And if I know my sister—and I’m pretty sure I do (oh, the stories I could tell)—then I know she’ll have yummy snacks after the run and maybe even a prize or two, which I’ll win of course. Family sticka together, right, Meggie?
Here are the details. Feel free to tell me what a nifty flier I created for her. I’ve already patted myself on the back a few times:
If you have questions you can email my sister at meg22tango{at}hotmail{dot}com. She’s not as quick as I am at replying to email—she does have a life—but will get back to you as soon as she’s mucked a few stalls. (Could we BE more opposite?)
P.S. Let’s pretend you can’t make the 5K Fun Run. (Like you’d risk the wrath of Meggie’s TP-armed sister…) You can still help support YMAD‘s cause in West Bengal by tweeting, Facebooking and posting about this fabulous fundraiser. I’ll send you some warm fuzzies if you do. Promise.

Let me see what I can do. Adam is into 5K’s lately, which as you know, makes me hate exercise even more. But I could walk. I want people to see I am a good person.
