Today’s “A Good Night’s Sleep” post comes to us courtesy of Lauren Horsley from SuperMom Central and is from the Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Libs book. If you want to learn how to be a supermom (warning: Lauren makes it look easy), then you’ll want to check out SuperMom Central. The site—and Lauren—are a ton of fun! A GOOD NIGHT’S SLEEP

Yes, this really is Lauren’s life…

Lauren Horsley

Name and/or nickname: Lauren Horsley

Blog(s) and/or website(s): SuperMom Central & Traveling Mom contributor

Where you grew up: Murray, Utah & Fruit Heights, Utah

Favorite childhood game: Chess (yes, I was an enormous geek)

Super cool mom moment (i.e., one of those moments when you were the coolest mom ever): We attended a private party at Disneyland where my little boy got to hang out with Mickey, Goofy, & the gang. When he bragged about the experience to a friend later, the friend asked “Why did you get to have a party with Mickey Mouse?” and my little boy answered, “He reads my mom’s blog.”

Totally uncool mom moment (if you’re willing to share): Same child once said to me, “Mom, someday when I get married in the temple, will you drive me there? Cuz the only place I know how to get to is Target.” (Mommy’s priorities might be slightly out of whack, eh?)

Your go-to “drug” of choice (e.g., Diet Coke, chocolate, Peeps, Venti anything from Starbucks): Smartfood White Cheddar Popcorn and pink grapefruit juice (gotta be in combo)

Your guilty indulgence (e.g., reality TV shows, pedis, chick lit): eBay! It’s such a rush to find a super cute outfit for my little girl and get it for a steal. Whenever I get the message “You won this item” I want to jump around like Oprah just gave me a car!

If you were stranded on a desert island, preferably in the Caribbean, which famous person would you want with you and why? President Bush (George W.). I’ve been wanting to whisk him away for intensive public speaking lessons since the moment he stepped in front of a microphone. Plus, I’ll bet he’s got some really funny stories about Dick Cheney! And truth be told, I’ve always thought he was kinda cute (in a lame-brained, puppy dog sort of way).

Happy (late) Monday!

Anyone else think Jude (kid in the middle) might have actually enjoyed a warm glass of rubbing alcohol before this picture? Or maybe he just did too may Boogie-ups that day.

Thanks for the feature Em – so fun!

I love Lauren’s gutz… despite the fact that she would take the G Dubya on an island with her. I guess you can’t expect someone to have perfect judgement all the time. ;-)

Yay Lauren! You’re fabulous and have great taste in nouns, if not in presidents. ;o) I love that you want to give our former president public speaking lessons. As for Jude, my vote is the boogie-ups. Boogie-ups are clearly exhausting.

Lauren cracks me up! I could sit and chat with that girl for hours. She’s so funny. I just wish she would ease up giving her kids the rubbing alcohol before a photo shoot! :)

Lauren is so cute and sweet! Love the totally uncool mom moment. My daughter said to me, “I gonna get married in the temple and then you gonna come and get me out!?!?” Not sure what her train of thought is on that one!
