Mad Libs Monday: “Lost and Found” by Alexis Lesa of depressions and confessions

(Our most recent guest Mad Libber was Natalie Holbrook from Nat the Fat Rat. You’ll love her “Love Letter” Mad Libs. So fun!)

Today’s “Lost and Found” post comes to us courtesy of Alexis Lesa from depressions and confessions and is from the Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Libs book.

I’ve only recently come to know Alexis. My first brief meeting was at the Casual Blogger Conference and then I got to know her a bit better via Twitter. After hanging with her at the recent Cupcake Conference, I knew she would be a fun feature on Mad Libs Monday. I thought her quick wit and edgy humor ought to make for a fun read—and I was not disappointed. After the story you’ll find a few interesting facts about Alexis. Enjoy!

LOVE LETTER

by Alexis from depressions and confessions

Mad Libs
(I had to look up the definition of ballcock. I think I prefer float valve, but it doesn’t surprise me Alexis chose the other.)

Yes, this really is Alexis’ life…

Name and/or nickname: Alexis

Blog(s) and/or website(s): depressions and confessions and Postpartum Progress

Where you grew up: North Carolina, California, Hawaii, Utah, New York, Connecticut, England

Favorite childhood game: Boggle

Super cool mom/spouse moment (i.e., one of those moments when you were the coolest mom ever): One time I took my older son to the movies with my husband and let my son eat as much popcorn and Sour Patch Kids as he wanted. That night, he threw up in his sleep and slept in a puddle of vomit all night.

Totally uncool mom/spouse moment (if you’re willing to share): See last question.

Your go-to “drug” of choice (e.g., Diet Coke, chocolate, Peeps, Venti anything from Starbucks): Diet Pepsi and Costco cinnamon raisin bagels.

Your guilty indulgence (e.g., reality TV shows, pedis, chick lit): Expensive purses and lots and lots of books.

If you were stranded on a desert island, preferably in the Caribbean, which famous person would you want with you and why? Probably Bradley Cooper because he’s a recovering alcoholic and therefore wouldn’t mind using any spare booze for a signal fire. Also because he seems smart and might have a chance keeping up with my razor-sharp wit. Lastly because we’d populate that island with beautiful half-breed babies.

Happy Monday!

Only Alexis would use ballcock as a word. Oh, Steph would too. And I guess me.
