Mad Libs Monday: “Advice Column” by Allison Czarnecki of Petit Elefant

(Our most recent guest Mad Libber was Loralee from Loralee’s Looney Tunes. You’ll love her “Letters Parents Hope Get Lost in the Mail” Mad Libs!)

Today’s “Advice Column” post comes to us courtesy of Allison Czarnecki and is from the Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Libs book.

I have known Allison of Petit Elefant for a couple years now though I feel like I’ve known her much longer than that. The first thing you notice about Allison is her smile—combined with some serious dimples—quickly followed by a great sense of humor about life both online and off. She was the one who introduced me to the drive-thru beverage stop complete with caffeine and pebble ice and she is the one still trying to break me from the habit of matching my earrings with my necklaces. (It’s a tough job but someone’s gotta do it!) I don’t know how she stays sane with all she has going on, from Petit Elefant to BlogHer’s Social Luxe Lounge to appearances on TV and features in print. She’s amazing!

After the story you’ll find a few interesting facts about Allison. Oh, and you’ll also see her fabulous, super hot new haircut. LOVE it! Enjoy!

ADVICE COLUMN

by Allison

Yes, this really is Allison’s life…

Allison Czarnecki

Name and/or nickname: Allison Czarnecki

Blog(s) and/or website(s): Petit Elefant

Where you grew up: Orem, Utah

Favorite childhood game: Pomp. It was a crazy night-games game a few family friends came up with one late summer night. Remains my all time favorite. It’s like Calvin ball, only more fun.

Super cool mom moment (i.e., one of those moments when you were the coolest mom ever): When I organized a 3-week trip down the coast of California from San Francisco to San Diego and Catalina Island. My kids thought I was the bomb.com

Totally uncool mom moment (if you’re willing to share): When my son whipped out his penis in a Wal-Mart check-out line. Not my proudest moment.

Your go-to “drug” of choice (e.g., Diet Coke, chocolate, Peeps, Venti anything from Starbucks): Diet Dr. Pepper. With crushed pebble ice.

Your guilty indulgence (e.g., reality TV shows, pedis, chick lit): Trashy magazines {US Weekly, People, etc.} chick lit, bad romcom movies.

If you were stranded on a desert island, preferably in the Caribbean, which famous person would you want with you and why? No celebrities or famous people are cool enough to be stuck with. I’d want my husband. But I guess if I were pressed to choose, I’d pick Ree Drummond. I worship that woman, and she’d probably be able to whip up something fabulous out of coconuts and sand.

Happy Monday!
