Mad Libs Monday: “Thanksgiving Day Survival” by Julie of Leelou Blogs

2010 December 6

(Our most recent guest Mad Libber was Debbie from Suburb Sanity. You’ll love her “Look It Up” Mad Libs!)

Today’s “Thanksgiving Day Survival” post comes to us courtesy of Julie and is from the Dysfunctional Family Therapy Adult Mad Libs book.

Leelou Blogs

Julie of Leelou Blogs is one of those bloggers I hope to get to know IRL one day. She is well known in the blogosphere thanks to her popular and oh-so-cute website designs and other graphic design projects. Julie is another one of those super creative gals whose creativity I hope rubs off on me just a little bit. (That can happen via email, right?!?!) I don’t know how this busy gal does all she does, from her design services to giveaways to her involvement in Casual Blogger Conference. Amazing!

After the story you’ll find a few interesting facts about Julie. Enjoy!

THANKSGIVING DAY SURVIVAL

by Julie

Yes, this really is Julie”s life . . .

Name and/or nickname: Julie or Leelou

Blog(s) and/or website(s): Leelou Blogs, Leelou Swag, Casual Blogger Conference and my poorly updated family blog: The Mac Family.

Where you grew up: Klamath Falls, OR

Favorite childhood game: Red Rover

Super cool mom moment (i.e., one of those moments when you were the coolest mom ever): This Halloween we invited some friends over for dinner. Before we started to eat we turned off the lights and surprised the kids with an awesome glow-in-the-dark dinner.

Totally uncool mom moment (if you’re willing to share): I get really sick when I’m pregnant. When I was pregnant with my third child I spent a good six months laying on the floor throwing frozen waffles to my kids all day. They’ll need therapy eventually.

Your go-to “drug” of choice (e.g., Diet Coke, chocolate, Peeps, Venti anything from Starbucks): Good & Plenty. They are crack to me.

Your guilty indulgence (e.g., reality TV shows, pedis, chick lit): Eating out. Not having to make food AND clean it up is the BEST THING EVER.

If you were stranded on a desert island, preferably in the Caribbean, which famous person would you want with you and why? Oh gosh. I’m a celebrity junkie so this is hard. I’d say Kelly Rippa cause she’s one cool lady. Or maybe Ron Howard. Cause I’ve loved almost every movie he’s made. I know…I’m like a 60 year old woman.

Happy Monday!

If it rubs off on me then I in turn will let some rub off on you. I’m sure that’s how it works!
