Mad Libs Monday: “Is He Mr. Right?” by Stacy Risenmay

(Our most recent guest Mad Libber was Ashlee Prisbrey from I’m Topsy Turvy and Topsy Turvy Cakes. You’ll love her “Are You Ready to Move in Together?” Mad Libs!)

Today’s “Is He Mr. Right?” post comes to us courtesy of Stacy Risenmay of Not JUST a Housewife and The Birthday Blog and is from the Test Your Relationship I.Q. Mad Libs book.

Not JUST a Housewife

I’ve only met Stacy once (so far) in real life, but thanks to an online Twitter intro from Steph, I’ve been tweeting with her for a little while. She is another one of those fabulously crafty gals whose creativity I hope rubs off on me. (If I hang around enough of them, it should, right?!?!) Stacy blogs over at Not JUST a Housewife (craft and DIY projects) and The Birthday Blog (creative party ideas for kids). She is the mother of four little boys and has the most beautiful complexion. When I finally met her at our recent SassyScoops girls’ night out, I almost couldn’t stop staring at her, she is that gorgeous. After the story you’ll find a few interesting facts about Stacy. Enjoy!

IS HE MR. RIGHT?

Yes, this really is Stacy’s life…

Stacy Not JUST a Housewife

Name and/or nickname: Stacy

Blog(s) and/or website(s): Not JUST a Housewife & The Birthday Blog

Where you grew up: Utah

Favorite childhood game: We made up a lot of outside games that as an adult don’t make much sense! But I loved them as a kid. We lived in the country so we had to make up a lot of things. We wrote and put on plays too.

Super cool mom moment (i.e., one of those moments when you were the coolest mom ever): When I over hear my kids brag about me to their friends. “My mom is the coolest because…” The bragging is always in a nice way. Not the whole “my mom is better than your mom” kind of thing. Maybe “complement” would have been a better word.

Totally uncool mom moment (if you’re willing to share): I am still getting use to balancing the whole blogging thing with motherhood. The other day I was under the gun for a deadline and I kept shushing my kids and telling them to leave me alone and to just go play. I don’t remember the exact thing they wanted to do later but the gist of it was they said I was always too busy for them now. It made me push harder to put limits on how much I blog while they are awake… if at all. It can be easy to temporarily lose focus on what is important. My success as a mother is CLEARLY more important than the success of my blog.

Your go-to “drug” of choice (e.g., Diet Coke, chocolate, Peeps, Venti anything from Starbucks): Pretty much anything with sugar unfortunately.

Your guilty indulgence (e.g., reality TV shows, pedis, chick lit): The bachelor/bachelorette. Every season I think to myself, “Why the crap am I watching this show?????” But it is like a train wreck and I can’t help it!

If you were stranded on a desert island, preferably in the Caribbean, which famous person would you want with you and why? This one is soooo easy. Matthew Fox (or Matthew Foxy as I like to call him). He is my celebrity crush.

Happy Monday!

She’s so cute! I can’t explain half the games I played as a kid either. They made so much sense at the time…

I can’t explain half of what I do as an adult, though it made sense when I did them. ;)
