Mad Libs Monday: “How to Raise Your I.Q.: No. 3″ by Char from Crap I’ve Made

(Our most recent guest Mad Libber was Lara from Less Cake {more frosting}. You’ll love her “Should You Take Him Back?” Mad Libs!)

Today’s “How to Raise Your I.Q.: No. 3” post comes to us courtesy of Char from Crap I’ve Made and is from the Test Your Relationship I.Q. Mad Libs book.

Crap I've Made

I first met Char (@CrapIveMade) at a meet-up after Quilt Market, My friend Steph told me I simply had to say hello, which I did, but I didn’t get to chat with her much that evening. She’s super creative and super funny and was surrounded by a small crowd. Fortunately I was able to get to know Char a little better during—yes, you guessed it—EVO. We sat next to each other in the Intermediate WordPress class. And I don’t know about Amy, also in our row, but after about five minutes, Char and I gave up trying to follow the PHP, HTML and CSS being thrown at us shared at record speed.

Char shares her creativity and her humor on Crap I’ve Made. After the story you’ll find a few interesting facts about her…and get a taste of her fab sense of humor. Enjoy!

P.S. I had to look up her last word, “hirsute.” It means “unshaved, bearded, bushy, woolly, furry.” Now you know.

Yes, this really is Char’s life…

Char_Crap Ive Made

Name and/or nickname: My name is Charlotte, but no one calls me that (except for my mom when I’ve done something to embarrass her). Did you know Charlotte means “small and womanly”? Well, I’m not. Just call me Char.

Blog(s) and/or website(s): Crap I’ve Made

Where you grew up: West Jordan, UT

Favorite childhood game: Is fighting with your brother a game? I was REALLY good at that.

Super cool mom moment (i.e., one of those moments when you were the coolest mom ever): My cool mom moments tend to be when I let my kids make a mess. I let them cook. I let them craft. I let them play in the mud. I let them be creative.

Totally uncool mom moment (if you’re willing to share): So, I asked my kids about this one too and my oldest said “Seriously…why does anyone want to know this about you? You’re not that interesting!” Then she said “You sing Ke$sha really loud and make me feel bras in stores.”

Your go-to “drug” of choice (e.g., Diet Coke, chocolate, Peeps, Venti anything from Starbucks): Diet Coke. Lots and lots and lots of Diet Coke. I’ve been known to buy 2 32-oz-ers from the McD’s drive through at the same time…for myself. I also always have dark chocolate hidden somewhere in the house.

Your guilty indulgence (e.g., reality TV shows, pedis, chick lit): American Idol, Teen Mom, Toddlers & Tiaras (it makes me feel better about my own parenting), and shoes.

If you were stranded on a desert island, preferably in the Caribbean, which famous person would you want with you and why? I’m gonna take one for the team and say Richard Simmons so that the rest of you wouldn’t have to hear from him ever again.

Happy Monday!

I love Char! And Teen Mom is my guilty pleasure, too. (My husband rolls his eyes every time he catches me watching it.)

I totally spit my water out over the toddler and tiaras for the same reason, because I feel so much better about losing it over say the three year old coloring all over the walls yet again as opposed to not putting on fake eyelashes lol.

Coloring on the walls is much more my reality!

I love love love Char. I stalk her blog all the time. My question is where do you all get together to meet one another? Is there like a bloggers convention? Cause I am not a blogger but love to read what others write. Keep the crap coming….I have boots for when it starts to get to deep.

I think we all have boots–that’s why we relate so well to each other! I think a lot of bloggers get together here and there on their own, and then you have blogging conventions like BlogHer, Blissdom, Mom 2.0 and EVO. Lots of opportunities to play!
