Costa Vida’s sweet baja shrimp tacos {GIVEAWAY}
Recently I was invited to Costa Vida for a sampling of their new Sweet Baja Shrimp Tacos and experienced my very first shrimpgasm.

We’re talkin’ warm, slightly crisp, slightly chewy tortillas filled with sweet-yet-spicy shrimp and topped with their famous mango salsa (pictured below).

I wasn’t kidding when I coined the term “shrimpgasm.”
Though a couple members of the group felt the shrimp needed a bit more kick (good thing Costa Vida has Sriracha sauce on hand), the shrimp tacos had just the right amount of kick for me. And the sweet? Perfect.
I finished it off with an ice cold Diet Coke and pebble (crunch) ice and I was one happy customer.

Costa Vida’s shrimp tacos are back and better than ever!
You’ll also find your favorites still on the menu like sweet pork tacos, grilled chicken quesadillas (my fave), the ever popular sweet cinnamon tortilla (my kids’ fave), sweet pork salad (Steph‘s fave) and their award-winning chicken-chipotle salad.

So, I went to Costa Vida for the first time, several weeks ago, and I have to say, I was disappointed. :( Kind of the poor man’s Cafe Rio. BUT, Cafe Rio doesn’t have shrimp, which I am obssessed with, so I am going to have to give it a try again.

Since Costa Vida is closer to us than Cafe Rio we go at least once a week. :) Paul loves their chicken tacos, and I always get the little shredded beef salad…AND BOTH of use are addicted to the cinnamon tortillas.

I used to get their Mango Chicken Salad but my husband convinced me to try to Shrimp Tacos (I’m not a huge shrimp person) but I will NEVER go back to the salad. These tacos are AMAZING. Sign me up for that gift card!

We have a Costa Vida about an hour and half away….and I always make the trip for their sweet pork salad. It’s my fav and I just recently had a chance to experience Cafe Rio’s for the first time and Costa Vida won in my opinion. That $25 would go to good use here and I’d definitely try the shrimp!
