Story@Home 2013 {GIVEAWAY}

2012 September 25
by Emily Hill

The next Story@Home conference isn’t until February, 2013 and I’m already excited. I attended Story@Home 2012 in Salt Lake City and was hooked. I can still recall the inspiring keynote by Rachael Herrscher and amazing family history stories presented by FamilySearch. I attended workshops that instructed (Tauni Everett rocked monetizing your blog) and inspired (Ken Craig and Jenny Eckton were spot on about blogging your religion).

Even better, I got to know Kim Orlandini and Lindsey Redfern a little more intimately after hearing their stories during a special lunchtime session. Those are two phenomenal women.

Did I mention I participated in iTell and it had me, queen of never crying, tearing up as I talked about my kids?

I also busted a gut while listening to my new favorite storyteller Kim Weitkamp. She’s coming back for Story@Home 2013 and I’m so gonna be listening. And laughing. And busting another gut.

Yep, I’m pretty excited about Story@Home 2013 (sponsored by Cherish|Bound and FamilySearch.org) and not just because some of my friends are teaching again. This year I’m going to be team-teaching a beginning social media class with Tauni and Steph. How awesome is that?!?

No matter how you tell your stories – through your family history, at your child’s bedside, on your blog, or from a stage – your stories matter. Join us for a conference that will change the way you see your stories and the world, and help you connect in new ways with those you cherish most.

Workshops and performances by award-winning storytellers, performers and speakers, will help you explore ways to use the power of story in your home. You’ll be able to record your own story, start on some research to learn more about your family’s history, get started on a blog and learn how to tell your story through social media.

The agenda is once again full of phenomenal speakers and workshop presenters and at only $79 for a full-conference pass (two days; meals not included), it’s a total steal. Plus, Story@Home is held in beautiful downtown Salt Lake City just a short walk from Temple Square and the new City Creek Center.

I’m thinking you should make it a mini weekend getaway with girlfriends!

At the end of the day, it’s all about the memories we make and the stories we tell.

Registration is now open and I wouldn’t wait too long. Seating is limited and the conference will most likely sell out. If you happen to win the giveaway, we will happily refund your ticket price.

And now for the GIVEAWAY!

Story@Home is giving away one (1) full-conference pass ($79 value)!

This giveaway will be administered via Rafflecopter.

Disclaimer: Story@Home provided me with two full-conference passes, one to give away and one to use. They’re also indirectly providing me with another fabulously inspiring weekend.

    Hey bodacious blogging babe!!!! I entered this very cool giveaway and am crossing my fingers and my toes, in hopes that I win! (I never win anything…though I remember winning a coupon redeemable for a free root beer float from A&W! It was years ago, and it was as cool as Christmas morning. HA!!)
