Disney on Ice presents 100 Years of Magic {GIVEAWAY}

2012 October 30
by Emily Hill

I haven’t been to an ice skating show in any form since my grandma took me to one over 30 years ago. I can still remember the excitement of seeing the skaters twirl and whirl their way around the rink and though it wasn’t Disney on Ice, it was fabulous.

I also remember eating a Whatchamacallit candy bar and loving every bite. Memories are awesome.

Though I have taken three of the four kids to Disney World (Livi wasn’t around yet) and all four to Disneyland, they have yet to see those same beloved characters don ice skates and bring the joy of Disney to Salt Lake City.

Disney on Ice 100 Years of Magic

I haven’t yet told the kids we’ll be attending Disney on Ice: 100 Years of Magic in November. In fact, I dare not tell them until I have a paper chain made to count down the days. I’m not sure I’m up to hearing “now how many days until we get to see the Disney ice skating show?” over and over and over again.

And that’s just Nathan. The kids are worse.

What I love most about 100 Years of Magic is its repertoire of Disney characters.

We’ll see over 60 of them as “Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse take audiences on a fun-filled adventure, sharing memories with Disney friends including Goofy & Donald Duck; the beloved Disney Princesses; Buzz Lightyear & Woody; Nemo & Dory; Pinocchio & Jiminy Cricket; Belle & The Beast; The Incredibles plus many more – and magical moments from Disney’s Aladdin, Mulan and The Lion King.”

You thought I was kidding when I said they’d be bringing the joy of Disney to our hometown.

Disclosure: Disney provided me with a family pack of tickets so we could attend 100 Years of Magic in exchange for promotion on my site. Sadly, they did not provide me with a family pack of Whatchamacallits.
