TITLE Boxing Club opens in Utah!

2013 February 15
by Emily Hill

If you know me well then you know I’m a huge fan of hitting the gym five days a week. I do it for three reasons:

  • Maintains what little sanity I have left.
  • Gets me away from my desk to do something active.
  • Lets me eat pretty much whatever I want (though this is less the case with each year that passes).

With all that gym-going, I find I have to mix it up all the time to keep it fresh and fun. Right now my routine consists of spin class and weights on Mondays and Wednesdays, yoga on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and Pilates, Zumba and some weights on Friday. But with the very first TITLE Boxing Club  Utah location opening up this weekend in Cottonwood Heights, I’m going to throw a bit of high calorie-burning boxing into the routine.

Just think how great it will feel to punch something over and over and over again…

Perhaps if I attend enough classes, I’ll look like one of the Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleaders in this video:

Did that trainer say 1,000 calories per class?!? Sign me up!

Actually, I’ve already signed up and have my TITLE Boxing kit ready to go for tomorrow’s training class at 1:00 p.m.

And I’m totally dragging Nathan and Lauren with me. Despite what you might think, TITLE Boxing is a family-friendly gym that caters to everyone no matter your age or fitness level.

In fact, one of the club’s newest members is a gal in her late 60s, and if Grandma can do it, you totally can.

The gym has lockers, showers, free weights, cardio equipment and fitness gear. You can buy boxing gloves and wraps (I highly recommend the pink gloves) or use what they have on hand for class.

TITLE Boxing Club Cottownwood Heights has training classes* going this Saturday, February 16th, at 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.  Drop in for a kick-butt workout and a taste of what TITLE Boxing Club has to offer. I plan to drip sweat from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.

* Training class are to help break in the new trainers. If you want to attend, let me know and I’ll make sure the owner knows you’ll be there. Plan to arrive 15 minutes early to wrap your hands and get familiar with the gym.

Right now the gym is running an Early Bird Special. Sign up for a year membership and they will:

  • Waive the enrollment fee ($99 value).
  • Give you a free kit ($120 value) that includes gloves, hand wraps, gym bag, t-shirt, water bottle, and wash bag for your hand wraps.

Also, your first class is always FREE at TITLE Boxing Club Utah.

Disclosure: TITLE Boxing Club provided me with a membership and kit in exchange for this review. I’m hoping they also provide me with a 1,000-calorie workout and really awesome arm muscles.

I really may need to check this place out. I used to love kickboxing. But I am so out of shape I will probably die.

I DON’T do boxing, and I’m quite a ways from Utah, but I LOVE the inspiration of this post. I’ve linked mine to yours and borrowed one of your pictures (giving credit, of course :) ). I hope you don’t mind.
