Baked brie with sweet pepper jelly
Disclaimer: Create-ologie sent me a set of brie bakers and the mahogany pedestal in exchange for a post. Even though I was compensated, all thoughts, opinions and pretzel thins topped with baked brie are mine. And 100% delicious.
If you received a set of fabulous brie bakers from Create-ologie, you’d have no choice to but test them out with a simple baked brie recipe using your favorite pepper jelly from Pepperlane, a local Utah company.
Be careful. Preserves from Pepperlane are highly addictive, especially the Cran-Peno and Pepp’ricot.
Though my brie wheel was a bit small for the brie bakers, this baked brie with sweet pepper jelly was all melty and gooey and peppery and sweet…and perfect. I served the baked brie with a side of pretzel thins, but you could also use baguette slices, tortilla chips, pita chips or a spoon.
You could also switch up the pepper jelly. My favorite is a jar of Cran-Peno Preserves, but if you prefer something with a bit more kick, try a jalapeno or hot pepper jelly.
Printable recipe for baked brie with pepper jelly below.
- 1 brie wheel
- ½ to ⅔ cup of your favorite pepper jelly
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Remove top rind of cheese; leave rind on sides and bottom. Place brie cut side up in brie baker. Top with pepper jelly.
- Place brie baker in center of hot oven for 15 minutes. DO NOT place lid on baker while in oven.
- Remove from oven and place brie baker cover on top to keep brie warm and soft until ready to serve.
- Serve with pretzel thins, pita chips, crackers or baguette slices.
Create-ologie, which officially launched July 15th, offers unique products for your home and business. I’ve checked out the entire line and I believe me when I say it’s absolutely fabulous.
This handcrafted mango wood pedestal, though on the smaller size, is a fun way to display and serve treats like cookies or brownies, or you could use it as a cheese board so guests can sample a variety of cheeses.
You could also use this mango wood pedestal to serve a variety of toppings or sauces by filling ramekins and placing them on top. I may even use it to display small mason jars with freshly picked flowers. The possibilities are endless!
