I’ve posted my fair share of rice krispie treats but these krispie treat fireworks pops might be the most festive and the most fun.

Though these are specific to the 4th of July (and 24th of July in Utah—a.k.a. Pioneer Day), you could take the same concept and use them for just about any holiday by changing up the sprinkles, dipping chocolate and/or cereal.

If you can’t find the limited-edition Kellogg’s Rice Krispies cereal (I found mine at Target), you could always by Fruity Pebbles and pick out the red and blue “pebbles.”

Or pay one of your kids to do it.

I learned you need to make your krispie treats as dense as possible or they’ll start to bend and eventually half will fall off the stick. Not that we’re complaining; someone has to eat the ones that don’t look as cute. We found 6-inch lollipop sticks to be the perfect size.

If you make two pans like I did, drizzle the second pan with the leftover vanilla almond bark and serve them that way. Adds a bit of variety to your dessert table…and an excuse to eat at least one of each!

My kids and their friends seriously loved these krispie treat fireworks pops. I loved ’em too, which is why I had to give some away to the neighbors. It’s the only way to keep myself from eating all the treats. All the time.
